Getting Your Tires Rotated
Why should I get my tires rotated?
While getting your tires rotated may feel unnecessary, there are several benefits that help with your vehicle’s overall health and keep your Chevrolet running smoothly.
- Safety – Uneven tires can be dangerous, especially in wet or slippery conditions. Maintaining proper tread depth by rotating your tires ensures consistent traction which can be helpful when road conditions are not optimal.
- Even wear – The weight of your vehicle while driving is not distributed equally between all four tires. Getting your tires rotated means that all tires get a chance of taking more or less weight at a time which can make them last longer.
- Better performance – Your vehicle will drive better and be more stable on the road when your tires’ wear is even.
How often do I need to get my tires rotated?
In general, it is recommended to get your tires rotated every six months or 5,000-7,000 miles, whichever comes first. It’s always a good idea to check your owner’s manual or schedule an appointment with a certified service center to be sure. At Joe Holland Chevrolet we can make recommendations specific to your Chevrolet so you can count on it being done right.
